We will be performing pieces from composers including: Thomas Albert, Cornelius Cardew, Pauline Oliveros, and Fredric Rzewski.
Concert is free to attend and all are welcome to join for the reception afterwards.
Monetary donations or donations of food and drink to enjoy together at the reception are appreciated!
The Philadelphia Community Orchestra (PCO) is an eclectic instrumental ensemble open to all ages (participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult) and skill levels—no previous musical experience is required.
PCO focuses on experimental, improvised, and alternative music-making. Repertoire includes rare and underperformed music of the past, graphic and text scores, group improvisations, and works specifically composed for PCO.
The only requirements for prospective members are that they bring their own instrument, commit to regularly attending rehearsals, and foster a collaborative spirit and open mind (there is no audition!).
